October Harvest

As September has now come and gone, many updates and surprises have surfaced along the way. Design-wise, I completed some wedding lettering on wood boards, as well as some housewarming autumn decor. The photos in this post are from last winter when I designed a welcome sign and seating chart for a friend's wedding. And you know what, I couldn't be happier with the turnout!  Aside from lettering, one of my articles recently got republished by First for Women so that was super exciting (you can read it here).

On a more personal note, this past month has been insane as we're moving into our first home in a few weeks' time. Although moving has never been an easy experience for me, having to go through all the daunting steps of purchasing our first home has been unparalleled. I can't tell you how excited I am to gain some stability and develop a routine in our new place. Fall is my fav time of year, but this season has found me far too distracted by the impending move and the weather (i.e. heat) to really enjoy it. Oh, did I mention we still have two weddings remaining to attend - and they're two weeks apart?

Anyway, I've been working on updating my blog and while it's still a work in progress, I'm hoping you enjoy the changes. I've wanted a sidebar for awhile as I find it makes it easier than having to duplicate certain elements in each and every post. I'm still getting the hang of even having a blog, never mind getting used to the design aspect of it... but I digress.

For me, these coming months are all about making the space, speaking the truth and staying in my integrity. I'm learning to feel more comfortable with having something to say, and allowing myself the courage to actually say it. I've shed a lot of layers over the past year - who I used to be, what I used to believe and where I invested my energy. If nothing ever changes, then nothing ever changes - right?

So what are you looking forward to this fall, and what does this time of year mean for you?
